Air quality improving in Spokane area

From staff reports

Smoky skies remain in the Inland Northwest, but air quality is improving.

Monitors in the Spokane area, which mostly measured air quality in the “unhealthy” range Wednesday night, were showing readings in the “unhealthy for sensitive groups” or “moderate” categories on Thursday morning, according to the state Department of Ecology.

The National Weather Service’s forecast for Spokane indicates that air quality will continue to improve throughout the day.
