Lost iguana rescued from tree near Gonzaga University

Someone out there is missing an iguana, and the Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service would like to know who.

An animal control officer rescued an iguana up a tree near Gonzaga University Thursday morning. The lizard was about 15 feet off the ground.

The iguana had some recent injuries, including a cut on its nose and a piece of its tail missing. The animal’s owner is asked to call SCRAPS at (509) 477-2532 to claim it.
