Reality check on Trump

Craig Detmer’s Nov. 27 letter (“Trump and Clinton”) is revisionist history. He claims that Democrats ignored Clinton’s accusers. However, Democrats noticed that Clinton came to agreements with the accusers, and Lewinsky was never an accuser. Democrats also note that Republicans, before Clinton, made clear excuses for Clarence Thomas.

Today is today. More than a dozen women have come forward to accuse Trump, more than accused Clinton. Furthermore, Clinton never said, “I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.”

That was Trump, on record, admitting that he commits sexual assault.
