The Real Housewives of the rehab facility.
“Real Housewives of New York City” star Luann de Lesseps shared that she would be entering alcohol treatment after she was arrested in Palm Beach early Christmas morning for being intoxicated and kicking a police officer.
“I am truly embarrassed,” she wrote on Facebook.
“I have decided to seek professional guidance and will be voluntarily checking into an alcohol treatment center. I intend to turn this unfortunate incident into a positive life changing event.”
Luann de Lesseps escaped cuffs and tried to flee during arrest.
De Lesseps, 52, was arrested on charges of attacking a police officer, disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest with violence and two corruption by threat charges on Dec. 25, according to the police report obtained by the New York Daily News.
Her arrest came after she entered the wrong hotel room and went into the bed with a man and refused to leave when cops demanded her to do so.
She hid in the bathroom and then slammed the door in the face of an officer trying to reach her, according to the report.
De Lesseps then somehow wrangled her way out of the handcuffs once in the back of the cop car.
“Once again, I sincerely apologize for my actions. I have the greatest respect for police officers and the job they do,” she said. “My actions alleged in the police report do not reflect my core values and my law abiding character.”
The former countess was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 25.
She issued an apology that same afternoon, chalking up her actions to the emotions she felt by being in Palm Beach for the first time since her marriage to Tom D’Agostino on New Year’s Eve 2016. The pair divorced seven months later.
Her arrest will reportedly be covered on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New York City,” despite the show being on hiatus, a source told People.
