Pedestrian hit by car early Friday morning near Maxwell and North Ash

A female pedestrian was hit on the corner of Maxwell Avenue and North Ash Street early Friday morning.

The woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said Spokane Police Ofc. Ben Maplethorpe.

The vehicle that hit the woman fled the scene. Witnesses described it as a dark colored late 90s Ford pickup, Maplethorpe said. The truck will have front end damage, including a damaged passenger side headlight.
