Several Spokane-area school districts delay school

Slippery roads have led several local school districts to delay school by two-hours on Monday.

Districts in Spokane County that have delayed school include: Cheney, Deer Park, Great Northern, Liberty, Medical Lake, Newport, Nine Mile Falls and Riverside.

Schools and districts that have announced they will be closed include: Colville, Coeur d’Alene Tribal School, Cusick and St. Maries.

Other districts with two-hour delays include Columbia, Creston, Inchelium, Mary Walker and Washtucna. The Valley School District will start classes at 10:30 a.m.

The North Idaho College outreach centers in Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint are closed.

There is a two-hour delay for the Colville, Ione, Newport, Republic and Incheleum campuses of Spokane Community College.
