Disposal costs increase at University Road Transfer Station

Prices are going up at Spokane Valley’s University Road Transfer Station, which is operated by Sunshine Disposal Inc.

Solid waste cost per ton increases by 1.6 percent to $99.74.

Solid waste minimum was lowered by 1.3 percent to $15.

Yard waste and greens cost per ton is up by 1.4 percent to $51.38.

Yard waste and greens minimum increased by 1.4 percent to $10.28.

It’s still free to drop off recyclables and moderate risk waste and household hazardous waste.

The annual price adjustments are based on the consumer price index.
