Idaho women drop close one to Northern Colorado

Savannah Smith scored 24 points, Courtney Smith added 22 and visiting Northern Colorado (19-4, 11-1) topped Idaho (12-11, 7-5) 71-67 in Big Sky play on Thursday.

The Smiths combined to go 17 of 36 from the field, taking more than half of UNC’s shots.

Mikayla Ferenz paced Idaho with 20 points, while Taylor Pierce scored 12 points and Brooke Reilly had nine points with 10 rebounds.
