Teen walking on highway injured when struck by car near Cheney

A pedestrian was injured Tuesday evening when he was struck by a car on a state highway three miles east of Cheney.

A teen walking on state Route 904 at about 8:45 p.m. was struck by a westbound Saturn Vue driven by a 19-year-old man of Nine Mile Falls, the Washington State Patrol reported in a news release.

WSP said the victim, who was walking in the roadway, was at fault. He was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.
