Trump wants GDP growth

For eight years, we watched as Obama’s lax immigration policies led to tens of millions of homeless, jobless, penniless foreigners with few skills stampeding into America. Similarly, his ultra-high taxes on corporations and wealthy entrepreneurs sent precious investment capital stampeding our of America.

The result? Barely 1.8 percent GDP growth since the 2009 recession, the slowest, post-recession GDP growth since the 1930s. We saw the deficit double as fiscal stimulation failed to grow the economy, and the fed’s 0 percent interest rates and quantitative easing had almost no affect either, other than to build up a massive $4.25 trillion balance sheet at the federal reserve. The labor participation rate hit a 39-year low just last August as well.

Now Trump wants to reverse that and stem the stampede of illegals into America while incentivizing the deployment of investment capital in America once again to build businesses and create jobs. It’s hard to imagine the mind of a person who fails to see that as a good thing, if they’d just stop breaking windows in Berkeley and in Washington D.C. long enough to actually stop and think about it.
