Sheriff should’ve kept gun

If I were the sheriff of Spokane County, I would be unbelievably embarrassed to show my face back at the office after being ordered to remove my weapon before entering the Veteran’s Arena, and I actually did it. Can you only imagine how embarrassed his troops are to work for such an alleged leader.

Knezovich was on-duty and required to be armed regardless of what he was wearing and was well aware of this. To give up his weapon at the orders of a security guard is beyond belief to me, especially when this facility is owned by the city of Spokane, which is located within the boundaries of Spokane County.

As a retired Spokane police officer and having worked for several great chiefs, at the very least, this sheriff should have requested to see Twohig (who for many years has been very anti-police) and advised him that he was under arrest for obstruction of a law enforcement officer in the performance of his duties.

Knezovich did not do this, instead gave up his gun without discussion.
