Ashley Wilson scored 19 points and Chelsea Nelson added 17 to help North Carolina State beat No. 6 Florida State 70-61 on Monday night, snapping the Seminoles’ 12-game winning streak in Tallahassee, Florida.

The Wolfpack (12-3, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) trailed 49-46 going into the fourth quarter before going on a 10-3 run to take the lead. Nelson scored seven points in the quarter. Wilson made all 14 of her free throws as the Wolfpack were 20 of 25 from the line.

Miah Spencer added 12 points for North Carolina State, which has defeated top-10 teams in back-to-back games for the first time since 2007. The Wolfpack ended Notre Dame’s 35-game ACC winning streak last Thursday.

Leticia Romero scored 20 points for Florida State (13-2, 1-1), which lost for the first time since a two-point defeat to top-ranked UConn on Nov. 14. Their 12-game winning streak ties a school record with the 2004-05 squad.

After dropping five spots in The Associated Press poll earlier in the day, the Irish were never threatened after seeing a 35-game league winning streak end last week at North Carolina State.

Notre Dame took its first double-digit lead on Ogunbowale’s 3-pointer early in the second quarter and went up by 21 late in the period.

Georgia Tech missed 22 of its first 28 shots from the field and had 12 turnovers when consecutive jumpers by Kristina Nelson made it 34-11 at the 2:14 mark of the second.

(14) Miami 82, Pittsburgh 50: Laura Cornelius made 8 of 8 from the field, including six 3-pointers, and both of her free throw attempts to finish with a career-high 24 points and the Hurricanes (12-2, 1-1 ACC) beat in the Panthers (9-5, 0-1).

Jessica Thomas added 10 points for Miami, which scored 30 points off Pitt’s season-high 26 turnovers.

Aysia Bugg’s 3-pointer gave Pitt a one-point lead with 5:29 left in the first quarter but the Hurricanes scored 16 of the next 18 points to made it 24-11 going into the second. The Panthers, who came in averaging 12.3 turnovers per game (tied for eighth fewest in the country), committed nine turnovers during that run and went scoreless for the final three minutes, 31 seconds.

(18) Virginia Tech 76, North Carolina 68: Regan Magarity scored 24 points and tied a career high with 17 rebounds to help the Hokies (14-0, 1-0 ACC) remain unbeaten this season with a win over the Tar Heels (11-3, 0-1) in the conference opener for both teams in Blacksburg, Virginia.

It was the fourth time in Magarity’s career she’s collected 17 boards.

Leading by five at the beginning of the fourth quarter, Virginia Tech pulled away with a 9-1 run capped by Magarity’s bucket to make it 65-52 with six minutes left. North Carolina twice cut the deficit back to single digits down the stretch but got no closer than seven.

(23) DePaul 61, Providence 56: Brooke Schulte had 23 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer in a late 12-0 run and the Blue Demons (11-4, 3-0 Big East) rallied to defeat the Friars (9-5, 1-2) in Chicago.

Yoyo Nogic had 16 points for Providence.
