Sanchez, of Colorado, who was unable to stop on the ice.

Bailey’s logging truck and Sanchez’s truck were then were hit from behind by a third semi driven by 54-year-old Aleksey A. Tikhonov, of Soap Lake, according to ISP. The logging truck was pushed into the center median.

Tikhonov was taken to Kootenai Health for treatment of his injuries. His passenger, 47-year-old Vasily P. Bugaychuk, of Soap Lake, was in the truck’s sleeping compartment and was not wearing a seat belt, according to ISP. He was flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

Bailey and Sanchez were not injured.
