Where’s the plan?

Over the last seven years, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers and her Republican colleagues have voted more than 50 times to repeal Obamacare. With the election of Donald Trump as president, they can now do it. The question I have is where is the plan that will replace it? What are the details?

You have 20-plus million Americans, 700,000 in Washington state alone, wondering whether or not they will have health insurance. You have health insurance companies on hold not knowing what their involvement will be in the future. You have medical providers who have added people and facilities to care for the 20 million people on Obamacare not knowing what will happen. You have states wondering what is going to happen to the Medicaid tied to Obamacare.

The Republicans have had seven years to prepare a plan and they have yet to show it to the American people. Are they going to try to push their plan through behind closed doors, like they did when CMR chaired a meeting to get rid of the House Committee on Ethics?

If Republicans come out with a plan, they will need a name for it. I suggest “Repocare.”
