Body found in Lake Chelan might be South Korean student

Associated Press

CHELAN, Wash. – Authorities believe a body recovered on Wednesday from a Washington lake might be a 23-year-old man who went missing in the lake more than two weeks ago.

KCPQ-TV reported Donghoon Lee disappeared June 20 while swimming in Lake Chelan with friends.

Lee was on break from attending the University of Washington on a student visa from South Korea.

A boater found the body on Friday and called 911.

The South Korean Consulate has notified Lee’s family that he might have been found.
