Spokane felon gets 6 years for possession of firearm

A Spokane felon was sentenced to six years in federal prison Monday after he was found to have a gun in his possession.

U.S. District Court Judge Justin Quackenbush sentenced 53-year-old William L. Taylor to six years in prison after Taylor was found in possession of a firearm during a Spokane Police investigation into an unrelated matter.

Taylor fled from officers but fell when he jumped over a fence. The subsequent search found a .22 Magnum revolver in his waistband, according to a news release by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
