Convicted child rapist gets 10 years for pornography possession conviction

A registered sex offender from Spokane received a 10-year sentence in federal prison Friday after he previously pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.

Larry J. Fraley, 58, previously was convicted in 1991 of first-degree rape of a child in King County. Fraley remained under supervision and Washington Department of Corrections officers visits halfway house in Spokane in August 2016 and saw Fraley viewing pornography images of boys, according to a news release by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Fraley later admitted to agents with the FBI of viewing child pornography on the Internet. Agents seized Fraley’s computer and found 287 images depicting child pornography, according to the news release.

Fraley pleaded guilty to the new charge in April and U.S. District Court Judge Tom Rice sentenced Fraley on Friday to serve 10 years in federal prison.
