Game 95: Seattle Mariners (47-47) vs. Houston Astros (62-31) at 5:10 p.m at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
Seattle slugged four home runs and won in comeback fashion on Monday night, topping the Astros 9-7. The Mariners have won four consecutive games after falling behind.The four-game streak is tied for third-longest in club history. There have been only two longer streaks: six games, from Sept. 21-26, 1980 and five games, from Aug. 27-31, 2004.
Seattle has won five straight games and six of the last seven since July 17. A win on Tuesday would give the Mariners a season-high tying six straight wins this season.
Houston is 6-4 in its last 10 games. The Astros own a 29-20 home record. Houston in 15.5 games ahead of second-place Seattle in the A.L. West, the largest division lead in MLB.
TRANSACTION: RHP Sam Gaviglio was recalled to make Tuesday’s start. OF Boog Powell was returned to AAA-Tacoma to make room on the active roster.
