GOP destroying USA

First it was the oil and coal companies in the 70’s, then it was the big banks and real estate scammers in the 80 and 90’s. In the 2000’s, Michelle Bachman invited anarchists masquerading as Tea Party protesters into a shrinking GOP. Today, this long history of selling out their core values to gain power and influence has wrought a GOP that acts like a wholly owned subsidiary of the Putin kleptocracy through its American affiliate, the Trump kleptocracy.

At what point are the current leaders of the GOP prepared to recognize the horrible mistake they made helping Vladimir Putin put a draft dodging, tax cheating adulterer and scam artist in our White House? How much shame are they ready to swallow? How many of their fellow Americans are they willing to sacrifice to Paul Ryan’s hobby pursuit of 19th century economic theory commonly called trickle down economics or austerity?

What price to bring them back to treasuring a little bit of pride in what representative democracy has been able to accomplish over the last 200 years? Let’s hope we find that price before the GOP sells away the last of what makes America great, a democratic system of governance.
