Support Breean Beggs

Thank you for your editorial of July 7 that recommends Council member Breean Beggs to move forward to the general election. I, too, support Breean.

As a legislator and a citizen, I have worked with Breean and have always been impressed by his intellect, work ethic and compassion. In particular, he is an expert and advocate for smart justice, responsible transportation planning, and public safety. I particularly appreciate Breean’s work promoting Safe Routes to Schools and his creativity and tenacity on affordable housing solutions.

Breean has demonstrated that he is an effective leader, and I will enthusiastically vote for him in this election.

Andy Billig, State Senator, 3rd Legislative District
