3 killed, 1 injured when car slams into back of parked semi

LYNNWOOD, Wash. – Three people were killed and one was injured when a car slammed into the back of a parked semi-truck in Lynnwood, Washington.

KOMO-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2tCNt9q ) the crash happened at about 4 a.m. Wednesday.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office says two of the occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were rushed to the hospital, but one died on the way.

The only survivor, a 15-year-old girl, is being treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with undisclosed injuries.

Officials say the car was heading north on Alderwood Mall Parkway when it crashed into the back of a semi that was parked on the side of the road.

The car hit with such force that it became wedged under the trailer and its top was sheared off.
