Muslims and immigration

When meeting American Muslims, I am smitten by their honesty, courage and fairness. Almost all of them are African-Americans. No wonder they gave us Muhammad Ali: one of the greatest Americans ever and helped thousands of young men straighten their lives.

Muslims immigrants are not the same: granted they have legitimate grievances against the U.S. and Europe: Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Israel, Yemen … and we should pay war reparations and get out of there. That, however, makes them a risk when allowed in.

Of course, the majority are not terrorists. Still, what exactly are they bringing what we need? Burkas? Honor killings? Hatred of homosexuals? Are we short on people? How many of them will go immediately on welfare?

The May 28 column “Court: Trump lied about travel ban.” seems like a joke to me. Religious liberty has nothing to do with the president’s very mild travel ban, and the judges overruling it act politically not legally hurting the security of all of us.
