7 local organizations win GSI Agora awards

Five Spokane companies and two nonprofit organizations were named as winners Wednesday of the 2017 AGORA Awards, chosen by a panel to recognize business excellence.

They were: Ty Barbery of Edward Jones (small business); Spokane Gymnastics (medium business); Spokane Convention Center (large business); Women and Children’s Free Restaurant and Community Kitchen (small nonprofit); Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest (large nonprofit); Lilac Bloomsday Association (community service award); and No-Li Brewhouse (entrepreneurial spirit).

The awards were presented by Greater Spokane Incorporated. For more than 30 years, the awards have been given annually, recognizing business excellence and contributions to the regional economy.
