Vehicle sales site ranks Spokane 21st in used car prices in state

Staff Report

If you’re looking for a used car in Washington, Spokane is a pretty good place to go shopping.

That’s the conclusion of autolist.com, a national online vehicle sales site, which compared prices nationally and statewide during a May survey.

Overall, used cars sell for more in Washington than they do in other states, the site found. Washington ranked No. 44 for price in the May survey, with vehicle prices about $975 above the national average.

Among 26 Washington cities in the survey, Spokane ranked No. 21 in May, with a sales price about $74 higher than the statewide average, the site said. However, particular models were available at savings compared to other Washington locations.

The five most affordable used vehicles in Spokane compared to other cities in the state were: Dodge Ram Pickup 2500, $1,624 below state average; Toyota Prius, $1,302 below; Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, $800 below; Toyota 4Runner, $729 below; and Nissan Murano, $677 below.

Autolist.com said its survey compared prices among 81 million vehicles nationwide.
