Race Across Jordan 5k, 10k, Half, Marathon - During the entire month of June, choose the distance you want to complete: 5K, 10K, 13.1 miles (half marathon), 26.2 miles (full marathon), 50 miles or even 100 miles! You can complete it all at once, or add it up and complete it by the end of the month. You can run, walk, hike, even crawl, the race distance wherever you want. It’s a virtual race, so you complete it when and where you want to. Registration fee includes Jordan shaped medal and bib, as well as shipping. We are donating 10% of each and every race registration to Pencils of Promise. They build schools to ensure that all students have access to a quality learning environment. The Longest Day Fundraiser - Touchmark on South Hill honors those with Alzheimer’s and their caretakers. Public is invited to join our NuStep Recumbent Cross Trainer relay team. Family Caregiver Conference - June 21. Frontier Behavioral Health and the Family Caregiver Support Program present Spokane’s 16th Annual Family Caregiver Conference, “Where the Heart Is.” This event is a fun, educational day out for unpaid family caregivers of disabled adults, including exciting speakers, legislative updates and an expert panel to answer questions about caregiver issues. NBC Basketball Complete Skills Camp - June 26. Complete Skills Junior Day Camps focus on the crucial keys for young athletes to become excellent at the game of basketball. These camps are specifically designed for the younger athlete ages eight-12. The intensity, curriculum and schedule is much more conducive for a younger athlete and we highly recommend this camp as a starting point for the younger player before coming to an overnight camp. Walk to End Alzheimer’s Moses Lake - September 16. Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s Association care, support and research programs. Walk to End Alzheimer’s participants will learn about Alzheimer’s disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical studies enrollment and support programs and services. Walk participants also honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony. In 2015 the Moses Lake Walk raised $27,998.59, contributing to more than $77 million raised nationwide for care, support and research efforts for those impacted by Alzheimer’s.
