Flipped cement truck creates problems for tow trucks

A cement truck flipped over Friday morning, blocking Wells Road near Pine Grove Road south of Cheney.

Preliminary information indicates that the driver drifted off the edge of the road and then over-corrected, flipping the truck, said the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office spokesman, Deputy Mark Gregory. The driver was not injured, but the truck took down a power pole.

Several tow trucks were called to help lift the heavy truck back on its wheels. The road reopened shortly after 3 p.m.
