1. July 4 Fireworks

Watch the skies light up over Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, Liberty Lake and smaller communities across the region on Tuesday as the nation celebrates Independence Day.

When: Dusk on Tuesday (roughly 10 p.m.)

Where: Downtown Spokane, as well as over Lake Coeur d’Alene and Liberty Lake. For a list of other community fireworks shows, see the calendar at right.

2. Sammy Hagar and The Circle

The Red Rocker is back on tour, with a powerhouse band behind. Helping Hagar blast through such hits as “I Can’t Drive 55,” “Right Now” and “Why Can’t This Be Love,” are his former Van Halen bandmate Michael Anthony on bass, Jason Bonham on the drums and Vic Johnson on the guitar.

When: 7:30 p.m. Friday

3. Beatlemania on Tour

Relive the heyday of the world’s favorite pop act with the complete live tribute show that recreates a true Beatles experience – authentic costumes, replica instruments and all songs performed with exquisite attention to detail and in their original key.

4. Sublime with Rome and The Offspring

Two big-selling ’90s bands team up for a concert tour. Sublime with Rome features original band member Eric Wilson and singer Rome Ramirez, who joined the band after the death of frontman Bradley Nowell in 1996. The Offspring, with eight successful albums and numerous worldwide tours, is known for helping bring punk rock back to mainstream music with hits like “Come Out and Play.” The Offspring has sold more than 40 million albums, making the band one of the best-selling punk rock bands of all time.

5. Seeking the Elephant

Seeking the Elephant is one of the very first original, alternative bands out of Spokane’s music scene. The band toured the Northwest in the mid-’90s, playing at the Swan Café, the Color Box and the Ballard Firehouse and a variety of other venues in Seattle and Portland, as well as the Met in Spokane.

6. Cory Michaelis

Cory Michaelis is a 10th grade history teacher and has placed in the Tacoma Comedy Contest, Seattle International Comedy Competition and World Series of Comedy.

When: 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 10:30 p.m. Saturday

7. Cowboy Supper Show

Fun returns to the Rockin’ B Ranch for the summer season. Enjoy an evening of food and entertainment at this cowboy supper show. The experience includes a comedic outdoor melodrama, chuck wagon style indoor barbcue supper, an outdoor Western shootout show, children’s storytime comedy and a musical stage show featuring The Riders of the Rockin’ B.
