Gonzaga picked up some votes but remained fourth in the AP Top 25.

The top four teams dodged upsets and held on to their spots from last week’s rankings. Kansas is No. 1 for the second straight week after collecting 59 first-place votes. Villanova, with two first-place votes, is second, followed by UCLA. The Bruins earned three-first place votes and 1,487 points.

Gonzaga, No. 1 for a four-week stretch before losing to BYU in the regular-season finale, received one first-place vote and 1,430 points, 11 more than last week.

Oregon, North Carolina, Arizona, Kentucky, Baylor and Louisville round out the top 10.

In the USA Today rankings, Gonzaga stayed at fourth but dropped from 686 points to 674. Kansas remained in the top spot. Villanova, which shared No. 2 with UCLA last week, is No. 2 by six points over the Bruins.

No. 5 Oregon is 19 points behind the Zags.

The ACC leads all conferences with six ranked teams, followed by the Big 12 with four.

Saint Mary’s moved up one spot to AP No. 19 and stayed at No. 18 in the coaches’ poll.
