Inslee ignoring laws

Having read the Feb. 24 headline (“Inslee prohibits state agencies from enforcing routine checks under federal immigration”), I appreciated letters on Feb. 25 to the editor from Art Lowe, Anne Hogue and Norman Gale.

Gov. Inslee’s comment, “The president is bound by the law. He chafes under that, but it is a fact,” must also relate to Gov. Inslee. I do believe federal government supersedes state law at this time. Gov. Inslee should ask the citizens of Washington if they want him to ignore federal laws and dictate to the U.S. government.

I believe states should always have enforced federal immigration laws. Under Gov. Inslee’s order, our state patrol and other state agency employers will be asked to violate federal laws.
