Move columnists to Opinion

My husband and I are appreciative of the choice and balance of pieces that you select for the opinion pages, including the letters to the editor. We would, however, like to see the oped section expanded a tad.

During the last election cycle, the use of opinion pieces as “news,” in media supportive of both sides of the political aisle, grew to disruptive proportions, the consequences of which are not still not fully known.

Inserting opinion pieces among the news articles limits the fair balance you appear to be trying to strike elsewhere. Simply moving all opinion pieces to the oped pages corrects the issue and maximizes your reputation as an excellent regional newspaper.

Please move opinion pieces by Sue Lani Madsen, Shawn Vestal and Doug Clark to the oped pages.
