It’s official.

Crave NW is coming to Spokane Valley.

The new four-day food-and-drink festival will take place June 15 to 18 at CenterPlace Regional Event Center at Mirabeau Point Park.

It’s presented by the City of Spokane Valley and organized by chef Adam Hegsted in conjunction with Vision Marketing.

The inaugural event will feature a Grand Tasting Tent, Global Street Foods Carnivale, Seafood Bash, Fire & Smoke Fare, and Father’s Day Brunch.

Wine, craft beer and specialty cocktail tastings will also be available at the event, which aims to celebrate Pacific Northwest ingredients and food producers.

The list of participating chefs, vendors, exhibitors and sponsors will be announced in April.

The new food festival comes on the heels of two others that debuted last year.

In September in Kendall Yards, Spokane promoter Kris Kilduff put on the first Restaurant Wars event, which featured a small-plate competition, beer garden, live music and vendors.

And in March 2016, Jeremy Hansen, chef-owner of Sante Restaurant and Charcuterie, Common Crumb Artisan Bakery, Hogwash Whiskey Den and Inland Pacific Kitchen, hosted a four-day Chefs Week PNW in the old Washington Cracker Co. building with multi-course meals, butchering demonstrations, vendors, wine tasting and more.

Crave NW is the brainchild of Hegsted, who was inspired by Feast Portland and the South Beach Food and Wine Festival in Miami.

He owns the Eat Good Group of restaurants including Wandering Table, Yards Bruncheon, Gilded Unicorn and Eat Good Café as well as Le Catering Co.

Vision Marketing offers integrated marketing services for small businesses, nonprofits and trade associations.
