Deadline to remove studded tires is March 31
Motorists have through Friday, March 31, to take the studded tires off their vehicles or face traffic fines of $136.
The deadline to remove studded tires will not be extended this year, state Department of Transportation officials said in a news release Friday.
Washington and Oregon share the same studded tire deadline, the news release said. Other states may have later deadlines, but Washington law applies to all drivers in the state, even visitors.
