Hopes are dimming

I’m coming out. No, it’s not what you think. This is political (even more dangerous). While I sincerely believe that Hillary Clinton would have been a bad choice for America, during the election I felt the same about Donald Trump, that he would be just as disastrous and to date, it seems I was right.

The swamp just has bigger alligators in it now. The key thing he wants to make greater is our military, and those he and Congress are willing to hurt are the ones who are already hurting. I had hopes but those are dimming.

One other comment, and then I’m going to bed: Donald Trump did not create this division that is in our country, in our Congress or even between each of us. That has been a growing disease for several presidencies, now. He is simply the canary in the mine shaft, a weather vane pointing out how badly we are willing to treat each other. There is little middle ground or working things out and those who don’t get their way end up screaming, breaking, burning and beating; and they feel righteous while doing it. God help us all.
