4. 50 Hour Slam Inland Northwest Film Festival 2017
Screening of the best films made during the annual 50 Hour Slam, a time-based filmmaking competition, plus spoken word, live music and art exhibits. Stick around after the screening to find out who will win the Septi, Hip Clip and Slammy awards as well as best editorial, cinematography, actor, actress and more.

5. Bloomsday 2017
Runners on your marks. Spectators get set. Everyone go! The 41st running of this all-day event in Spokane is open to all runners, walkers, wheelchairs and assisted wheelchairs and strollers takes place the first Sunday in May. The race is 12K (7.46 miles). Spectators are encouraged to line the course and cheer on the elite runners, the wheelchair racers, the gifted amateurs and the families out for a Sunday stroll.
