Lower teen working age

I believe that Washington state should change its laws on jobs for teens, ages 14 and 15. Students need to be introduced to having a job at an earlier age. Jobs such as babysitting and yard work are great but don’t supply teens with enough money. We need to have the opportunity to earn more money. As we grow up, we start to want more stuff, but our parents can’t be relied upon to supply us with money.

With all the school activities, fun events, driver’s education and wanting to buying a car, being a younger teen can get expensive. If we are allowed to work smaller jobs like 16-year-olds are, we will not only be able to earn more money but also learn lifelong skills that can help us when we soon become adults and are searching for careers.
