Disappointed with ad

I was saddened (but not surprised) that you allowed the “Shame on you, Cathy” full page ad that ran May 9 to contain so many false facts.

“This bill will cause at least 24 million Americans to lose health insurance, according to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office analysis.” Oh really? Actual fact: The Congressional Budget Office did not evaluate this legislation.

“$880 billion cuts to Medicaid.” Not factual and not evaluated by the Budget Office.

The more the Republicans are hammered by one-sided news reports and false advertisements, the more caring they appear to working stiffs and the common-sense community.

The S-R needs to be more responsible for what they allow in print, and McMorris Rodgers needs to continue to unwind the Obamacare disgrace.

(Editor’s note: CBO scored the initial AHCA, which is where the figures were drawn. The House passed an amended version before the CBO scored it.)
