Bill does not protect

I’m disappointed with Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers’ vote on the health care bill. This bill does not protect people with preexisting conditions, which she said she cared about. Instead of simply denying coverage, people with preexisting conditions, as minute as acne and pregnancy, will be priced out of coverage. I also take issue with her decision to vote before the CBO analysis, especially on legislation that is so contentious.

Rep. McMorris-Rodgers is from Eastern Washington. She knows that her people are some of hardest-working, most ingenious and big-hearted in America. Does she really think that the Republican line on tax cuts for the wealthy and for corporations, eliminating the option of affordable health care, is what’s best for Eastern Washington? These are decisions that can effect a family’s economic vitality for generations and will cost some people their lives.
