New rules for Trump

Can you imagine the outrage among Republicans if the Obama or Clinton families were busy marketing themselves worldwide with various countries, especially China, while in office? All rules and protocol seems to have disappeared with a Republican in the White House. Donald Trump, the largest benefactor, vacations every weekend at one of his golf resorts on the public dollar.

Republicans pride themselves on being fiscally responsible. They are only concerned about their fiscal duties when it comes time to support massive tax cuts for the wealthiest 1 percent. It is no wonder that among the largest, modern, industrialized countries in the world that we rank near the bottom in income disparity, health care, spending on a modern infrastructure and education, when we subsidize tax cuts for the most wealthy, and cut vital investments in our middle and lower income populations.

The meal cleaver approach to the Affordable Care Act is just another example of the disdain that the GOP has for anyone who works hard in this country and has a hard time getting ahead. Trump was right, being president is hard work. Wow, who would have known (especially) when you are expected to represent all of us!
