Morning prep roundup: Jackie Brown’s game-winning goal propels Lewis and Clark to district championship

Jackie Brown scored a breakaway goal in the 74th minute to snap a 2-2 tie and visiting Lewis and Clark ended Mead’s season with a 3-2 victory on Tuesday in a Washington 4A District 8 consolation game.

Mt. Spokane put on a scoring clinic with a 11-0 thrashing of Kennewick to advance to the 3A District 8 semifinals on Thursday at 4 p.m against North Central.

Mead advances to district playoffs with a 17-7 win over University. Kannon Katzer culminated a long drive with a 32-yard touchdown run on fourth down and Mead earned the third seed to the 4A district playoffs.
