Police: Everett man shot in head found alive 3 days later

Associated Press

SEATTLE – A woman is behind bars after a 36-year-old man was shot twice in the head and found alive in his Everett home three days later.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported Everett police arrested a 21-year-old woman on felony charges of assault, identity theft and robbery on Tuesday. Police say the woman is a professional escort and was hired by the victim.

The man’s employer and mother contacted police after not hearing from the man last month. Officers found the man wounded and unresponsive, sitting up against a wall in the bedroom. Police say the house did not show signs of forced entry, but the home’s surveillance camera footage places the woman there.

Police say the woman took the man’s wallet and made more than $10,000 in purchases on his credit cards.
