UberEATS launches in Coeur d’Alene

The Spokesman-Review

Coeur d’Alene area residents and workers can satisfy their hunger through a new option today after UberEATS launched its service mid-morning.

Ride-booking giant Uber has partnered with more than a dozen restaurants to allow people to order meals through the free UberEATS app, which tracks their order as it’s prepared at the restaurant and handed off to a delivery driver.

Among the Coeur d’Alene restaurants participating are Caruso’s Chelle Caruso, The Local Deli, Sweeto Burrito and The Triple B Blackhills BBQ on Best, according to an Uber news release. Food prices are set by the restaurants and Uber adds a booking fee of $4.99.

Uber said the Coeur d’Alene service will be available in most locations, including all of downtown and south to Twin Beaches, north to Hayden Lake and west to State Line, the release said.

UberEATS, which launched in the Spokane area in August, is now offered in more than 130 cities in 29 countries.
