The Zags are catching Howard near the beginning of its long road trip that is taking them to both ends of the country.

Gonzaga (1-0) is the third stop on Howard’s seven-game stretch on the road, and is the only currently ranked opponent Howard will face on the trip.

The Bison (0-2) began their season on Friday just 20 minutes from their home in Washington D.C., where they fell 86-77 at George Washington.

Then the Bison packed up their bags and headed nearly 650 miles west to Bloomington, Indiana, to take on Indiana. Howard fell short again, losing 86-77 to the Hoosiers.

Howard’s roughly 20-day road trip will take it to Ypsilanti, Michigan, to play Eastern Michigan on Saturday following its showing at the Kennel.

The Bison will also visit Arkansas State, South Florida and Liberty in Lynchburg, Virginia, before finally returning to Washington, D.C. for their home opener on Nov. 30.
