South Hill fire under investigation

UPDATED: Sat., Nov. 18, 2017, 8:40 p.m.

Multiple tenants of a South Hill apartment building are now displaced after a fire on Friday night, according to the Spokane Fire Department.

Around 6:15 p.m., a house converted into apartments at 1200 Sixth Ave. incurred heavy fire originating from a bottom unit. The blaze was contained before flames reached the other units, but each individual apartment suffered smoke damage.

Nobody was injured in the fire, SFD said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
