No sugarcoating

Is anyone else tired of euphemisms being used to disguise and diminish ugly facts about how we treat each other? In what is labeled “non-consensual sexual activity,” one of the people is unlikely to be “active” in a meaningful way any more than the rooster pheasant we ate for dinner the other night was an enthusiastic participant in a “non-consensual culinary event.”

“Non-consensual sexual activity” means that someone is committing assault/rape and someone else is being assaulted/raped. Language is powerful. We cannot solve problems such as sexual assault if we do not at least speak clearly and honestly about them.
