PULLMAN – The 110th Apple Cup will feature the teams ranked No. 13 and 17 in the newest edition of the College Football Playoff rankings.

Washington State jumped one spot to No. 13 and Washington moved up one place to No. 17 when the CFP rankings were released Tuesday afternoon. It’s the highest the Cougars have been ranked in the poll this season.

WSU was on a bye last week, while UW came back to score 10 points in the final minute of a game against Utah to win 33-30.

USC, which beat UCLA, stayed put at No. 11 in the CFP rankings. The Trojans have their bye this weekend and will play WSU or Stanford in the Pac-12 championship game at Santa Clara next Friday. The Cardinal beat Cal in the Big Game and moved up one spot to No. 21 in the rankings.

Miami and Clemson flipped places in the poll – the Hurricanes took over the No. 2 spot, while the Tigers dropped to No. 3 – but there weren’t any other changes inside the top 10. Alabama remains the No. 1 team, followed by Miami, Clemson, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Auburn, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State.
