Eight vs. Eighty

A brown, bearded fanatic with a truck, murders eight people in New York City while yelling praise to Allah. Meanwhile, two white American men have slaughtered nearly 80 citizens in the past few weeks, using high powered semi-automatic rifles. Our leaders helpfully send thoughts and prayers, but not one word is said about limiting access to assault weapons. Weapons that are designed for one purpose only; to effectively kill other human beings.

I support the Second Amendment, but can’t imagine it was ever intended to enable me to own weapons like this. I wonder how many people the white men would’ve been able to kill if they didn’t have those handy AR-15’s? Eight, maybe?
