Idaho’s favorite group of dancing grandmas made their third appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday.

The Red Hot Mamas, a dance troupe from Coeur d’Alene, performed to “Gimme Some Lovin” while wearing “domestic engineer costumes” of red dresses with plaid vests, yellow sleeves and construction hats.

The group, led by Mikki Stevens bills itself as “dedicated to the enhancement of the ridiculous.”

They woke up at 4 a.m. Thursday to get dressed and ready for an 11 a.m. appearance in Herald Square, Stevens posted on Facebook.

For this year’s show, they held auditions for a national team, which featured dancers from Washington and Texas.
