Key moment

Florida finally gained some measure of control in a back-and-forth affair in the second overtime. Jalen Hudson hit a pair of 3-pointers and Chris Chiozza added another to give the Gators a 106-99 lead. Florida hit its free throws to ice the victory.

Offensive player of the game

Call it a tie. Florida’s Jalen Hudson scored 35 points and connected on eight 3-pointers, including two in the second overtime. GU’s Johnathan Williams was too much for the Gators’ interior defenders, pouring in 39 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. His single-game high for the Zags was 21 points, set Thursday night against Ohio State.

Defensive player of the game

Freshman forward Corey Kispert helped bottle up Florida’s Egor Kouvelchov. The Gator wing came in averaging 21.8 points but didn’t crack the scoring column until midway through the second half. Kouvelchov finished with four points on 1-of-9 shooting.
