PORTLAND – The Gonzaga men’s basketball team was busy on Thanksgiving Day with a 9:35 p.m. tip-off against Ohio State in the PK80 Invitational.

So the Zags dined on customary pre-game fare and adjusted their meal plan, pushing the team’s Thanksgiving feast back to Saturday.

There are no games on Saturday in the men’s PK80, Nike co-founder Phil Knight’s 80th birthday bash. Eight games were staged on Thursday and Friday. The two-bracket, 16-team tournament concludes with eight contests on Sunday.

The women’s PK80 takes place Saturday with a pair of games at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene.

Most of Gonzaga’s administrative staff and some of their families enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner Thursday prior to the Zags’ 86-59 victory over Ohio State.
