Freedom has responsibility

It was disheartening, to say the least, to learn that the price of gun manufacturing stocks had risen and sales again spiked following the recent mass shooting in Las Vegas. But this seems to be the norm following mass shootings in this country. We are told that this is the price of freedom.

Parents anxious about sending their children to school for fear of another Sandy Hook or Freeman High event. Is this freedom? Or people opting out of attending entertainment event, for fear of another Las Vegas or Orlando event. Is this freedom?

The concept of freedom carries a heavy responsibility; i.e., my freedom ends where yours begins. Until we as a people are willing to accept this responsibility, and demand that our legislators do the same, and pass meaningful gun control measures, these events will continue as the norm, and we will not have freedom.
